Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? We’re here to help you.
It is ready! We've released the initial version of our revolutionary pilot application in late 2023. Nevertheless, we're constantly working on it and developing new features and capabilities. We are actively looking for airlines that want to be early adopters and harvest all the benefits that FlightAdvise can bring to airline operations.
EBT is slowly picking up and expected to become an industry wide training practice very soon. Currently, airlines struggle a lot with managing all the data sets that are needed to gather evidence. Using line operations data happens through getting reports from the airlines's FDM/FOQA program. The problem is that existing FDM/FOQA solutions are limited to exceedance/event analysis and do not show the full picture of line operations (what Flight Safety Foundation calls "Learning from All Operations"). FlightAdvise is here to change that. Through the "training manager" access to the platform and it's unparalleled flexibility, FlightAdvise can provide much deeper and detailed data overview of actual flight operations.
Protecting the sensitivity of the flight data is priority #1 when we develop FlightAdvise. Our team follows all industry best practices regarding the physical and cyber protection of the data from threats. Based on the profile of the airline, we offer different levels of data access ranging from very limited "I'm the owner of my data" model to flexible obfuscation and aggregation algorithms that ensures only the right people have access to sensitive data while still harvesting its value.
That is probably the best part of our platform - it's fully customizable and the airline can configure their own insights and in general how the data is processed. Of course a certain level of experience will be needed for that, but hey, we are there for you to help you along your journey with Fliant and FlightAdvise.
The most valuable data source that we work with is the Full Flight Data (FFD). This can be delivered to us either as an export from an existing FDM/FOQA solution (Flight Data Monitoring/Flight Operations Quality Assurance) or we can also work with the raw binary files coming off the aircraft's QARs or FDRs. In the latter case we would also need a Data Frame Layout definition file so we could figure out the data mapping. Besides FFD we may also need Operational Flight Plan and of course pilot roster so we know who's flying which flight. Additional data sources may also be required especially in the case where FlightAdvise is used to manage an EBT program at the airline.
Good that you asked! Please don't forget to check out our Flight Data Analysis solution that can revolutionize how your airline analyses flight data for various different use cases. We also provide consultancy services and can solve your unique problems through use of data.
